Hi all Having had a "snake Bite" puncture on the Trek72 hybrid the other day now find that the wheel is somewhat buckled too (I knew I shouldn't have stayed on that cycle path) and has a flat spot too.
Managed to get most of the side to side wobble out of the rim, but finding it harder to get the flat spot out! ok I know it's not black magic and mystery to fix but just requires patience though having problems in freeing one or two of the spoke nipples so much so that have distorted one or two of them and will need new ones, nipples; ok no laughing behind your hands I note that the Bontrager rim I have seems to be fitted with 3.2 spoke nipples but will the spoke thread be 3.2mm though it can't be really as the spoke itself is only 2mm in diameter and though I have a spoke key are the BBB brand good enough? as moving the nipples seems quite hard on some of the spokes even after liberal dosing with WD40 to free them. any body recommend any places for getting spares and should I get some spare spokes as well as the nipples just in case of breakages?
P.S I see now that spoke are measured in wire gauge and the thing is how to covert mm to wire gauge? must be a formula somewhere?
