Not just because this is a predominantly cycle-y forum or owt but surely, surely Shirley, it's got to be the cyclist-chappie who won the big race in France AND an Olympic gold medal? As notable as all the other entrants' (and hundreds of others who never even made the list) endeavours were, there's really no comparison.
