Spot the puncture?

So on my epic (for me) London to Cambridge and back at the weekend I got a puncture about 10 miles from Cambridge.

Fixed it (destroying my nice clean altura night vision in the process) and then got to Cambridge.

I hadn't been able to find anything in the tyre while I was replacing the tube so didnt think I'd be able to see anything on the inner tube.
Except the hole has about 2 mm across!
But haven't been able to find anything at all on the tyre to indicate any7thing having gone through

Not weird at all, a sharp object like a thorn will penetrate the tyre then withdraw and leave no hole because the rubber just closes behind it.
