Spot the yellow Tour de France bikes in Sheffield

Having just returned from a wedding in Harrogate, I can safely say that the rest of Yorkshire has made a damn sight more effort than Sheffield. There's cute jersey bunting and yellow bikes everywhere. I even saw some polka dot bikes.

Full marks to the shop in Pately Bridge which had clearly stripped a bike down, painted the frame and rims and then replaced the parts, resulting in a yellow but still perfectly useable bicycle. Kudos also to the oak furniture maker opposite the conference centre in Harrogate who has beautifully crafted a replica road bike out of wood.

I was feeling a bit meh about the tour, but after driving around North and West Yorkshire for a bit I'm dead excited.

No-one else got any pictures? I got the one at Ecclesall Woods the other day, but it's on my proper camera and I've lost the card reader. Edinburgh Bicycle co-op building is wearing a polka-dot jersey too I notice, but not had chance to get a picture yet.

There are three of them on the A628 coming into Penistone. Also one on the TPT near Tesco in Penistone.

This one's at Coldstones Cut not far from Pateley Bridge.

And this is in Kettlewell. I rode from there along to Buckden so I can say I've ridden part of the route

It's great to see how much effort people have made!
