Cycled into town this evening and wore the M&S chinos rather than the lately normal tights.

Went through Burgess Park (S London) on the way and a large bunch of folks including children were using the barbecue facilities and eating out at the tables.

Yes, I thought so. Went for a jog and the weather was bright and sunny.

And I thought so too. My outdoor thermometer told me it was 8.5 degrees and the sun was peeking through the clouds so I went out for a hilly ride. Once I got up onto open moor at 400 m elevation though I discovered that the windchill was pretty severe and I got home shivering.

Sorry marmion, don't understand.
He's saying that pretentious Londoners are w*nkers.

@Marmion is generating humour based on the accepted dichotomy that exists between the society within the M25 and the rest of the country. Others such as @Markymark exploits this with comedy and self awareness whilst the rest of us play foil to their jokes. It's quite amusing.

The Costa Clyde rain magnet.
Wow yes, this heatwave is having an effect - it's twice as warm as it was last weekend; 2C instead of 1.. If it carries on like this I might be able to discard one of my jumpers by April.

If we're REALLY lucky it will stop raining for an hour and the wind might drop below 30 mph, which it hasn't done since that day in May 2015.....

The upside is, it ensures cycling remains an activity to be endured by a tiny minority of dedicated masochists.

Stick that in yer pipe and smoke it, ya south eastern jessies!
