He's saying that pretentious Londoners are w*nkers.

@Marmion is generating humour based on the accepted dichotomy that exists between the society within the M25 and the rest of the country. Others such as @Markymark exploits this with comedy and self awareness whilst the rest of us play foil to their jokes. It's quite amusing.
I find both poses boring to tell the truth, the second in particular massively so - the ultimate in predictability. By the by, the barbecue folk braving what was still a bracing chill in the dark were either from the historic west indian community or the more recent arrivals in that area from south america. Their determination to have a good time (i'm thinking that the date had maybe been fixed by a child's birthday) in the less than ideal weather made me smile/brightened my day. Whilst this sort of thing happens London hasn't entirely lost it. It still has lots of simple pleasures.

Wow yes, this heatwave is having an effect - it's twice as warm as it was last weekend; 2C instead of 1.. If it carries on like this I might be able to discard one of my jumpers by April.

If we're REALLY lucky it will stop raining for an hour and the wind might drop below 30 mph, which it hasn't done since that day in May 2015.....

The upside is, it ensures cycling remains an activity to be endured by a tiny minority of dedicated masochists.

Stick that in yer pipe and smoke it, ya south eastern jessies!

Ah yes, i well remember a holiday in your parts. A mega heatwave down south, just about touched 17 your way. And another weeks holiday zig zagging around by car to try to find passable weather. After a week enveloped in fog, rain and mist returned after seeing virtually nowt. Beautiful bit of the country though, must return, enjoy your cycling.

Looking passably sunny southport way. Mum's off there on the free bus pass.

Charity ride for a local hospice tomorrow, looking good weather wise, cloudy with light winds, last two rides have been blighted by strong cold winds, coming back up the welsh road last Sunday was tough into the breeze.

2°C isn't twice as warm as 1°C as the Celcius temperature scale uses the freezing point of water as an arbitrary 0 point.
