Springs on the end of QR skewer - keep losing them

Took the wheel off today and placed all the parts nearby but couldn't find the spring when i was putting the wheel back on. In the end I put the wheel back on without the spring. Are they a standard size and can you buy a small bag of them anywhere? Will I notice not having the spring in place?

Ask your LBS if they have one?

Or SJS cycles are good for random spares

As far as I can determine, all they do is keep everything central. A couple of my bikes don't have them. They have a larger diameter at one end.

you don't need to remove the end of the skewer when removing the wheel, just loosen them off enough to allow the wheel to leave the dropout, if you do have to remove them totally, just put the springs back on the skewer and screw the end back on so you can't loose any parts

Get a tupperware box and all the smaller stuff put in the box so you loose it..
