Hi all.

I've bought some new sprockets to change my 2x10 into a 1x10.

I'd like to know the % lost at both top and bottom ends. Old system was 24/38 36t. The new configuration is now 36 42t. I may have made a mistake with the front ring been so big. Maybe should have gone 32 or a 34. I'm feeling fit and strong at the moment. Need time to fit the bits and find out just how much!

Subjectively, a jump up of four teeth on the biggest ring at the front won't make a lot of difference.

Assuming you hardly used the granny ring, I don't think you will find the new set up over geared.

I'm assuming you didn't use the granny ring, because if you did, it would be daft to get rid of it.
