I have a Hope mini brake caliper I’d like to use with drop bar handlebars. The Hope caliper uses DOT (5.1) fluid, Shimano are mineral oil so not compatible. I’ve heard SRAM might be DOT compatible but I know nothing about them.
So my questions are,
1. Do all sram drop bar levers use DOT fluid?
2. It’s going on a fixed gear/single speed bike that has nice bits on so which model of sram levers are nice and are there any to avoid?
3. What’s the hierarchy with sram components?
I have done some googling and ended up with some conflicting answers.
Many thanks in advance…
