St George's day parades.

Hello all, we were at my sons cub parade in York this afternoon. All the groups got together, over 2000 marched through the centre of York, a sight to behold!.

Proud as punch as my lad was chosen as flag bearer from York Minster to Cliffords tower.

Do other towns do the same?.

Yep they can join cubs and scouts now, our daughter is joining next year.

Came along with the changes in age groups for Beavers, Cubs & Scouts, along with the changing of Scouts/Venture Scouts. I have girls in my Cub pack, not a problem at age 8 - 10 1/2. My daughter has just finished Cubs, and rather than go to Scouts has joined the Guides, who do much the same things.

My Group joined the rest of District on parade in Egham today, I stayed at work..We also parade for Remembrance Day, but at our local church in Thorpe.
