I’m starting to look around for a fairly direct but interesting and enjoyable route for this trip.

The Silver Eagles** are preparing a spring tour.

** as the over 60s group was recently renamed by a much younger female member of our club.

How about taking the new Velo Francette down to either Niort or La Rochelle, then picking up one of the existing north / south routes either at Bordeaux or Angouleme? This is all relatively local to us and the Francette is beautiful.
