Sea Bass tonight. It's a big fish, we'll be sharing the one between the two of us.. Had the onion rings already today, incorporated in the omelette we had for lunch. I'm the omelette-maker of the 661 household. And I turned out a good-un!:tongue::tongue:

Mrs VC and I have just polished off a lamb shoulder, cooked for 4 hours at gas1. It just fell apart, and no gravy to be made, just the skimmed pan juices.

For later I have some good cider and a chocolate orange - nice.

Same as you Greedybabes...

Whats your cooking method for the dead cow?

Searing hot griddle pan with nothing in it. Rub the steaks with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Slap on for 3 mins. Turn and then leave for 4 mins. Chuck in butter and spoon over the steak. take out and rest.

Nice medium steak!!

How do you do yours

We are headed out to a concert in a few mins, so going to grab a bite in All Bar One. A nice steak at home is really pleasant. Every so often we treat ourselves to a good Scottish filet.

Not sure about tonight, but tomorrow will be slow-roasted belly pork. Brilliantly tender meat and about half-an-acre of crackling.

Bream.

Just as an aside I really can't see the point of battered, deep-fried vegetables even if you call them tempura. They just taste of fat! IMHO of course, and many will disagree, I'm sure.
