Tell me one good reason not to get one of these steel stems (scroll down).
That is does anyone in the UK make similar, perhaps cheaper?

You could try Robin Mather. Custom steel chappie based near Bath. Makes very pretty stems. Mmmmm, chromed gothic lugs.....
