I was being uncharitable about Stephen Fry. Yes , he does draw attention to mental illness and that it entirely laudable. It's not the "sexiest" charitable cause, and all credit to him. I'm afraid he still doesn't press my buttons when in comes to entertainment., a loss he won't notice. That corduroy jacket/leather elbow patch "avuncular" act grinds my gears. Here's Brian Sewell at the very top of his game...magnificent entertainment.

I have not seen any compulsory requirement to watch/listen/read to anything he does so I am not sure why people get in a fuss over him. I think the world is better for him being there.
