Is there any conclusive proof of "roid rage" ?

All the studies I have read suggest (that with the type of person likely to abuse anabolic steroids) all the indicators for aggressive behaviour are there beforehand

That's part of the problem. I knew someone who was prescribed steroids for a long-term inflammation and didn't take them because she 'didn't want them to turn her into a man'. People don't seem to understand that there are many different forms of steroid, and they are a marvellously useful medication in the right scenario.
Indeed. Seem to have sorted my inflammatory flare without any of the nasty potential side effects

A lot of people have to rely on them for a some where near normal life so not all users are the same

Indeed, there are legitimate medical uses for them. When Mrs D has an MS relapse they blitz her with them to protect her eyesight, but never more than 5 days, and even then the side effects are noticeable. They give her 5 - 10 times the regular clinical dose, the levels that juicers tend to use, but only for a very limited period because its dangerous. Not something to mess with lightly for sure.

Folk who have a course of 'steroids' for their piles or whatever are taking an incomprehensively tiny dosage in comparison, and even then many clinical 'steroids' aren't anabolic in nature anyway, so are a totally different kettle of aquatic life entirely.

Not confusing anything thread title is Steroids
Did you read the opening post however which is clearly referring to self injected anabolic steroids to build muscle mass to look pretty in the gym. I doubt anyone is self injecting glucocorticoid steroids (into their own joints)?

I always thought "roid rage" was a myth till I employed a person who looked and seemed fit and healthy and obviously enjoyed working out.
He could not control himself his anger and his violent outbursts at the smallest thing were unacceptable. He could not take any kind of instruction or
correction without completely losing it and on his own admission he was taking steroids so with regret I dismissed him. He is an L.G.V. driver, not the
temperament you need to be driving what is potentially a lethal weapon.

yes i did and no mention of what type of steroids were being used

I had a prolonged course of steroids for something recently and one of the things they did, was make me extremely hungry and eat my way through the contents of the fridge! Wrong kind of bulking up I suspect.

Boing. We’re all jumping around in this kangaroo court again. Boing.
OP wants someone sacked for doing nothing wrong. No law broken, no proof the bodybuilder is a danger to anyone.
Further, the thread doesn’t go on to establish that steroids create enraged Hulks, tearing their shirts and ripping the bonnets from cars in every village across the land.
What next?
Look at the fat lad, eating all those pies. Give him the heave-ho, he’s a danger to us all, could tumble on us at any time. Or get really mad if we remove the Roses chocolates....
Oi, social drinkers! Look at your half-pissed performance at the desk after Tony’s leaving do. Shame on you. Get out! Clear your desk.
