I was much saddened too. The Sweet were much underrated during their time, Steve Priest was a large part of their success and performance....

EDIT: Forgotten how good that was!

Not one of my faves, but the full Priest camp....

I gave Desolation Boulevard a spin one evening about six months ago, what do you think of that one?
Some great tunes no doubt. Lady Starlight and of course Ballroom Blitz are two of my Sweet faves. However, Sweet FA tops it for me. Sweet FA only being let down by the crappy Peppermint Twist.

Sad news indeed, one of my all time favourite bands, I have every album they released and saw them live once in the 90’s. First tune I ever played live in a band was Fox on the Run. Great musos, the drummer Mick Tucker was a genius, listen if you can to their live version of The Man With the Golden Arm.

And their album Sweet Fanny Addams is brilliant, including Peppermint Twist.

They were Hayes lads, like me. Toured quite recently. I didn't see them.

I always enjoyed their music but tbh until watching all the above clips had not appreciated just how good they were.
Thanks all, for the memories.
