Stick to egg slicer or maybe buy a mini thumb piano?

I remember a bloke years ago down my local pub who could play decent tunes on an egg slicer. I saw the above pop up ad' last night and wondered if the mini thumb piano would be easy to master. Not only these,but can you play a tune on any everyday objects?

Im extremely impressed that he managed to get the bass, guitar and synth sounds from that one egg slicer alone... I'll be heading to B&M to collect mine immediately...

I took part in a Zoom singaroubd last week, where one guy played a thumb piano, recorded what he played using a looper pedal, and then sang over the top of his loop. It's an effective instrument if used sparingly and intelligently. Used too often, and I should think it would get "old" pretty quickly......

We had a couple of kalimba thumb pianos that my dad bought in East Africa in 1940s, made of scrap metal parts. Our house sounded like Daktari at times.
