Stockholm & Gotland.Anyone been there?

Three days in each planned before the end of August with a folding bike.....Gotland (a hidden gem for cyclists I believe)makes for a good side trip from Stockholm.Does anyone have any cycling experience on this island?Any tips on cycling routes in and around Stockholm would also be appreciated,Thanks

I've not been to Gotland, but have cycled in Stockholm and it's a very cycle-friendly city as you'd expect in Scandinavia. There's a city cycle route planner here: http://www.bbbike.org/Stockholm/

There's a cycle route down from Stockholm to Nynäshamn from where you can get a ferry to Visby - the main town on Gotland.

I and an ex spent a week on a tandem many years ago having day trips (we were staying in Visby - a beautiful place https://www.google.no/search?q=visb...a=X&ei=3IXjU5GOFOHgyQOqiYGwDw&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAQ

A great place to ride around on good and pretty quiet roads.
