The shed was raided last night (took the roof off) and they got my winter commuter and my partner's Trek (blue, small with an adjustable stem and white rack).

Sorry to here, blooming tea leaves .I will keep an eye out mate, and make sure mine are all properly locked up in the locked garage. Best bike staying in the dining room wether swmbo likes it or not.

On the plus side, the dimwits left the best bike (the vintage Pug), which is now ensconced in our house. The police were good, but there's only so much they can do. They said there had been a few burglaries of late, but nothing unusual on the run up to Xmas.

Will keep an eye out. Not a common bike. It's unfortunately quite common round here for sheds and garages to be done over and they go to some lengths. Mine has been attacked twice in the last 18 months, but they haven't got through yet.

Thanks everyone. I am already looking at new bike build options, but I don't think the insurance will cover a new frame as I suspect the AA will make a low ball offer and then it's haggle time...

Damn! Bad luck there. I know how you must feel, I was livid after a recent attempt on my shed (and there isn't even anything but junk in there, bikes all live inside the house) so you must be having murderous urges.

Hope you get them back, it does happen just not always quickly. I got my brothers Kona MTB back in the late 90's after it had been gone about 6 months. He still has it

I was wrong. We have a "like for like" policy! Am now looking at a Genesis Equilibrium or Croix de Fer.
