I would just like to thank the kind hearted person that stole my lights from my bike. I only found out when I went to unlock it. My own thought as I forgot to take them off. But guess what it was in front of a cctv camera so you are on Candid camera.

I always take my lights off when I lock the bike.

I have had the little under seat pouch nicked twice from my bike - but not yet the lights ! I am reasonably lucky at work as the secuity guard sits about 6 feet from my bike while i am work. Not, that I really trust the over fed, idle and little yellow box bound security guards that much. But, it is a deterrent.

I always leave my lights on the bike at work as it's a secure area. On the rare occassions I lock my bike up in town I always take the computer & back lights off, but still leave the front lights on. If they have time to unscrew two front lights, dig the battery pack out of my saddle bag (which is a job to get off in itself) and undo all the velcro fastenings holding the cable to the top tube by the time I get back they are really keen.

Screw on ones are generally left - it's the QR ones that go....I used to leave my OLD BLT's fixed to the bike (but no battery) in public, but they would be no use to anyone..... no use to me now..I blew the battery up a few months back........
