I like Stalwarts

There used to be two at a wood, where we MTB raced, & later I attended '4x4 days'

My father-in-law was an instructor for them, when he was stationed in Germany

I would like the tank. The council weren't bothered that their speed bump plan would mess me up. I wonder if you can fit a bulldozer blade to it?

Not sure it would fit on the drive. Eons ago whilst at uni, I was cycling along at a fair clip when I heard a noise unlike any other. That was a tank on metal tracks coming the other way also at a fair clip. Unlike me though, (occasionally pinging out the odd stone from under my tyres), the tank was throwing chunks of road hither and thither! I wonder if there was a story behind it? The rozzers wouldn't need a San tracker to find the culprit! Perhaps the council has messed him up with speed ramps and this was payback!

Regarding the Stolly pricing
In the mid-80's, Budge was selling them, from £2000 (although, due to inflation, still a lot of money in comparison)

An, oh, but that engine sound:wub:
Almost as good as a V8 'muscle car', ie; a 'Magnum', or 'Hemi'
I've stood behind a Magnum'd ('70) Challenger, & even at tickover, you can feel the exhaust pulses on your chest!

I remember a Salvage Squad program on the Stolly.
While driving a Metro across Salisbury Plain once I was overtaken by a tank. I think they were showing off.
I remember the days of driving around the Catterick area, & coming across 'armour' waiting at road junctions, or crossing it

L Jacksons at Misson, used to have all sorts of interesting machinery, up to & including AFVs
