Convert the rear to a mobile home. Think of the holiday opportunities one would open up.

I learned to drive in one of these back in 1970 , Saracen APC , made by Alvis also ,

Essentially the same set up configured an Apc rather than a truck. I really could be tempted by a stolly if I had the space to keep it. The one with the craney thing would be quite a sensible hand thing surely albeit sadly not practical in the street in the middle of Bristol

The book Alvis Saracen Family by Bill Munro is rather good covering Stolly, Saracen APC, Saladin armoured car and the Salamander - Raf Fire engine one .

Also previoulsy seen for sale the Combat Engineers Tractor for some £15k which would have been the equivalent of a couple of million quid new. Handy for a bit of landscape gardening maybe ?

A friend of mine, almost bought an Antar a few years ago

He has the space at home, but worked out that the turning circle would mean destroying his own front garden, and, buying the opposing houses garden to be able to swing & reverse!

So, he limited himself to a Atkinson Borderer tractor-unit as his biggest 'toy'
