The intro to I Wanna Be Adored at Heaton Park is one of my favourite musical moments ever, turned to my friends to say something about the shiver down my spine/ goosebumps and they were both in tears!

Okkaaay.... I suppose it must have been one of those 'You had to be there' moments.


Anyway, if you want epic intros, my favourite is still 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' by Pink Floyd.

I heard the Scottish tribute band MacFloyd playing it a few years ago as their opening piece (I know a guy who is a big Pink Floyd fan, and took me, a then relative novice to their work along), and WOW!! The quality of sound alone was quite something!! I'd certainly recommend you see it played live if possible!!

Yes, the song (when it finally comes) isn't the best, but hey, who cares? With an intro of over 7 minutes long, really.... Who cares??

Be prepared for a long wait for the interval. When I saw him at Leeds the Interval came at 23:15. The show ended around 01:30

Was gonna pop along the Green to have a wee listen from behind the barriers got called into work instead.
Had to cycle home via the Gorbals , just missed the crowds coming out.
All the taxis in the area were heading opposite my way to pick up concert goers
