Stopping Rain water getting in your shoes

With the winter here and plenty of rain that comes with it how do you stop the rain water from getting in to your shoes when there is loads of it on the road and falling from above ?

Personally I were THESE boots in the winter, and they've done me proud for the past few years now

Others use OVERSHOES with varying success depending on the quality of the product.

There will probably be 101 other weird and wonderful methods people use, but waterproof boots and/or waterproof overshoes are the two most common off the shelf options IMO.

Mudguards keep a surprising amount of water from spraying off the wheels.

I've had two different sorts of overshoes, and neither have let water in. Get some good overshoes!

Get some old spd shoes and rub clear silicone sealant into the mesh to waterproof them.

If you are out long enough they will but they're (overshoes) the best solution IMO; seal skinz are great first until the come like bowls of water and they don't protect the shoes either.
