After the recent thread on prepping Storm Boelo happened.
A few fair few trees down around here blocking roads but the main issue was the power loss, we spent all of yesterday on the generator.
The power is back on now but we've already had one dip so I won't be surprised if it doesn't go again as the load builds and there are still plenty of people off.

Fine. Neighbours wheely bin blew over and I picked up the mess, but not death kill carnage here despite being very blustery up here on the high ground.

I recorded 65mph wind gusts(I have anemometer on garage) which was pretty breezy! No damage or power loss though.
I was concerned how the new garden gates would fare as they are big and heavy and although there are purpose made gaps to allow wind to pass through they still take the full brunt if wind is either S or N. All good though.

Going by all forecasts for El Nino and autumn storms the weekend just the start of it.

My 4' potted Christmas tree blew over. I left it there until the winds eased or it'd just be on its side again 🌲

I managed a 5 mile walk around Willen Lake in the morning in dry & sunny but strong blustery winds howling around. Couple of miles on the Brommie to pick up a few bits from Kingsthorpe Front in the evening.

Bit worried about the trampoline in the garden, it wasn't there on Saturday!

Stayed indoors and had a rather pleasant time.
