You should see what's going on outside here at the moment! I'm not going anywhere using any form of transport until it stops .....
Been pretty wet today in the SE, fortunately the rain fell during the working day and not when I was cycling there and back. Those in the NW look like they are getting drenched judging by the Met Office radar.
Expecting conditions to deteriorate tonight with strong winds expected tomorrow morning. Glad it is Saturday - cycling in gales is not fun and potentially very dangerous.

Thrown it down, cleared up, thrown it down, cleared up all day here in the SE.
Got soaked at lunchtime and on later trips out too.
Wind was picking up around 5:30.

The wind's gusting strongly down here in the SW. Lots of rain in it too.
In fact I got blown over while slowly climbing a hill! I can't remember that happening before, I was in full waterproofs though.

Torrential all the way home.
After 5 miles my shoes had given into the rain and started leaking.
It's now really windy so at least it was calm.
Took me 3 minutes longer than my best time as I was pretty much getting a wiggle on. You can't beat 35mph downhill with the rain driving in your face and the spray off the front wheel.
A Warm shower and a Curry and some Lager later it's all a distant memory.

Was you crossing Kingsway on wed,about 5ish coming towards cheadle? I was going the other way.

Dry all day until 15 mins before i got on the bike then the heavens opened up ! Wind is picking up now as well. In work tomorrow but it's the "drop off the work clothes day" so i'm driving (slap wrists)
Might try to get out on Sunday to bed the Brookes in some more,weather supposed to improve.
