I've been to Newcastle this week and ate a Stotty...very substanial and filling...anyone else tried them? Folks from Tyneside need not reply :smile:

I think stotties feature in the Yorkshire landscape too, I've certainly had some on the moors.

I have no idea what a Stottie is.
It's a small mammal, endemic to the upper moorland of the north pennines, similar to the lesser spotted short legged haggis.

Edit: Norm is totally wrong, as anyone who is in the know will be able to tell you that the content of Wikipedia is made up by small boys in the playground. And it leaks.

Yep - I can vouch for them appearing in Yorkshire! Normally cut into quarters for sandwiches, but I do know one chippie around here that serves chip butties in them. You feel full for a couple of days after!!!
