Riding home from work today a fat fifteen year old schoolboy with a face like a battered pizza decided to shout "I hope you fall off" as I rode past.

Seemed odd as he didn't have anyone with him to impress.

I just said the first thing which came into my head, which happened to be "Fek off ya fat tw*t"

I don't normally swear, but I felt he deserved an exception be made.

I was shouted at by a pedestrian the other day, he called me a fit old F*****, which I took as a compliment, I'll be 62 in December.

Had the boring 'get on the cyclepath' followed by expletives, and the classic 'road tax' comments. Also got some wag in a van leaning out the window going 'faster, faster' as I was struggling up a hill.

When my wife and I go out on the tandem we get no end of verbal - usually friendly.

Oddest one was being told off by a woman in a BMW because I decided to have a non-helmet day (wife was away). She pulled up alongside and asked me where my 'hat' was etc etc. She'd obviously said 'helmet' to other riders in the past and learned her lesson.

Most annoying and recent: last night;

Coming out of Epsom two chavvy looking 18-20 year olds!! on MTBs decided to buzz me and another cyclist by bunny hopping off the pavement screaming a kind of racing car " weeeeoooowww" noise as they went. One of them jumped right out into the road in front of the other guy, I was behind him and planning to overtake. As I went by the other chav went behind me shouting as he went.
My normal calm was shaken and I was going to shout something but I was caning it up a hill on my fixed so didn't want to lose my momentum. I would have to have shouted F@4cking cyclists at them. Perhaps they could have complained about me in this thread. No idea why this incident got me worked up.
