Strava aaaaggghhh !

Guys, loosing the will to live here.
I have a Garmin edge 520 plus and have downloaded the Garmin connect and Garmin express apps on my laptop.
I have ’made’ about 15 segments and stared them plus I have un checked the popular local segments as I ony want to try my own first.
My strava is connected to the Garmin app ( and I can see my segments on the Garmin app )
I have set the Garmin devise to use strava segments, not Garmin and I have tried syncing my 520 with Garmin express and no joy 🥲
app says it’s updated but no segments saved on the devise …. Hey, I’m not over clever with new tech but thought I’d suss this out … any
idea what I’m missing, doing wrong ?

Mine's an older model, but I have to transfer each segment from Garmin Connect by using the circled button

Edited to add... I think the later models are supposed to have better integration with Strava, although that might be a premium Strava feature.
