I've been using the free version of Strava for about 10months now, and I must say that for the most part I find it very useful to monitor and measure my rides. (I use a garmin 500 to record and upload sessions).
However when I want to compare my performance against other gents of a similar age (50+) I find it hard to work out how I compare, hence my inquiry.
I've never been particularly competitive in sport, but since taking up cycling a year ago, I find I cant help seeing how I've done on segments, in comparison to others, but I don't feel I'm comparing like for like most times.
For those in the know (50+ gents), do you consider it's worth the monthly/annual fee, to compare like for like?
