I had one of them, but it was rubbish so I got rid of it. I suppose that's he risk you take though if you buy things cheap off eBay.

I've gone for the Fire box, normal price £79.99, Prime Day price £55.

Got mine off eBay. Thirty odd quid, don't knownif that's cheap? Its spot on, used a lot for To View, iplayer and sizzle, Netflix, and best of all, Showbox. Works flawlessly, runs in full HD, what's not to like? I dod suspect though that they vary wildly from brand to brand (mines and mbox if anyone after one).

I found out the other day that i can have Netflix free by using my Mothers sign in and password as she pays for Netflix.
only 2 extra locations on a subscription i think? ..so my sister and me have it free? Feels wrong having a freebie. Must be a British thing..
Amazon works too with this..i believe you can have a lot more with Amazon.

Fire stick and side load kodi, sports and movies galore, some people find loading the likes of exodus into kodi difficult, but if i can do it, with a bit of practice , anyone can, or load a ready made build into kodi, some like wookie, until you're confident

100% this. With Kodi you can load a number of add-ons so you can watch up-to-date films and tv shows. Some (UK Turk TV) have separate categories for documentaries if that's what you want, but anything is accessible through the search function. You will have to google how to install Kodi to your stick, and how to install different builds etc but it's rather straightforward (even for me).

I have previously had Amazon Prime and netflix, and found both to be rather expensive for what they are. Fine if you want to leave it to chance as to whether or not your favorite programme appears on there, but if you want to watch new stuff it's pants. With Kodi apps, some films appear on there in 720p before they've even stopped showing in UK cinemas. As for TV shows, as soon as they are first aired, they appear. You can also watch foreign channels live, though rarely in anything above standard definition.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I've just bought a brand new Firestick from the high street and I cannot get Kodi to download on it, any ideas?

I've got a feeling that Amazon have blocked it in the latest software release, (5.0.5.1), but I'm fast becoming a technophobe as I get older so it might just be me.

Any help very welcome


[EDIT] OK so this LINKY has let me install Kodi, so now I need to try and work out what to install in Kodi to be able to watch stuff, if that makes sense

Ii have kodi on my hudle tablet and use.... genesis , exodus and velocity , admittedly it was originally set up by my son but never had a problem,
