How frustrating it is not to be able to see a street name telling you where you are when you are looking for one. I don't know if it applies all over the UK but in North Wales, street names are only shown at each end of the street so if you happen to join it in the middle from a side road, it doesn't tell you anything. Very frustrating when you have to go to the end of the street to check where you are.

Get a GPS enabled smartphone or Garmin with mapping support (such as the 800). It makes planning and following new rides/routes so much easier, especially if you go off-course and you're not really sure where you are!

the haha forms the barrier between the road and the barracks, this picture shows the haha lined with bricks. Apparenly its a Grade II listed structure!
