Well last nights show was an odd one. On the one hand they all upped their game and there were some fabulous dances, but on the other we had Abbey and Aljaz's perfect 40:wacko:
I thought Natalie and Artems American Smooth was amazing, but those who know far more about these things than I do tell me that technically Len was correct that there wasn't enough Foxtrot content. But, he was also very inconsistent as there was very little Salsa content in Abbey's dance. I thought Abbey's dance was very good, but it was a disco dance and to me should have scored more like 34 rather than 40. I shall now take a deep breath, relax, then go and get myself a life!
I agree Abbeys disco dance was very good but little salsa.in our house Patrick and Anya's dance was the favoured one.
Do not normally watch Strictly but our children love it, so I have to:gun::tongue:

Darcy Bussell is another fit lass on Strictly
Here, of course, 'fit' probably refers to her athletic prowess, as witnessed in this Darcey pic...I mean, how is he holding her up? OK, with his hands, but there MUST be some other form of support?

Here for rides.
Ben Cohen's departure, and that of Smiley Riley, even more a travesty now Mark has finally, thank goodness, gone.

I think he is just holding her. You'd amazed at what dancers can do! I mean professionals who have put years into it. For example, the jumps and spins Mikhail Baryshnikov does in 'Don Quioxte' are jaw-dropping, especially as he lands perfectly every time and never falls over - in a live performance too...

It's going to be a close call but my money is on Abbey to win.

Oh how pleasing it was to see smug Natalie in last night's dance off. She may be good but there's something about her I just can't warm to.

I'm the opposite, didn't warm to Natalie for most of the series but recently have as she is by far the best dancer.
Unfortunately being a popularity contest the worst dancer(BBC News presenter) is probably going to win.

The thing with Natalie is that she was training to be a dancer before going into acting. She had to give up as she got injured too frequently. It gives her a massive unfair advantage over the others. Plus if you look closely she hasn't actually improved that much as she was that good to start with.

But it's a popularity contest in the end, does not matter how trained the "celebrity" is the public alone will choose who they like which at the moment appears to be Susanna(who is not improving and probably getting worse in my opinion) by miles.

Here for rides.
Abby will win imo, and will duly be appointed BBC Official Nation's Sweetheart as a result. No media career outside the north-west will beckon though on account of her accent.
Susanna will come second and will return to yummy-mummy-dom on the living room virtual sofa most mornings.
Natlie will end up in a West End show before returning to a soap opera playing a character almost indistinguishable from the one she previously played.
