Love Stroopwafels. We have a supplier in Holland who sends us boxes full of them. 4 minutes on one side over a cuppa then flip and wait for them to sag slightly before eating.

Yes, I always thought it was the Belgians that invented the waffle or gaufre as I think they call it.

Only in the French-speaking bits. Wafel in Flanders IIRC. Probably something similar in the East Cantons.
