As above I tried to remove the locking nut from my 105 11 speed cassette and it is stuck tight. I used a chain whip and locking nut tool but even with extending the wrench handle to get more leverage I could not get it to undo. Any tips please?

Nip into a bike shop and ask em to fit a new one without mentioning it may be a bit tight.

Try putting the wheel against a wall, cassette on the left making sure the chain whip has a good grip and using a extending bar pull towards the wall you will get more leverage against a solid object

Be careful of stuck locking rings, wheels, chain whips. locking nut tools etc and if walls are being involved, its a dangerous combinaton, I nearly laid myself out when I combined them all the together, the locking ring suddenly came loose when I got a lot of pressure on it, I flew forward and nutted the wall.

I had one a few months ago that just wouldn't budge. I snapped my chain whip trying...
Solution: wrap old chain round cassette 3 times then with the loose end wrap it round the wheel rim until tight. Secure with a cable tie to stop it unravelling. Cassette tool fitted to a large breaker bar (the 3 foot long one that I used to use to remove the wheel nuts on my VW Camper) Hold the rim where the chain is wrapped to help stop it slipping and apply force while the wheel is resting on the floor.

Nice attitude - most shops will be helpful if you are honest with them but you'll just p them ff if not..

If all else fails:

The locknut binds to the smallest sprocket so making it difficult to undo. So carefully hacksaw through a spacer, remove and then push the small sprocket away from the locknut.

It should then unscrew with a modicum of force.
