As per the title, due to the arrival of a brand new Bossnut my Stumpy is up for sale. It is a cheap opportunity to try full suspension. It has seen me well over recent years at trail centres across the North of England, Wales and at the last two Mountain Mayhem 24hrs. I am 6'3 and it fits fine, would probably suit from 6' up
It has had some upgrades over the years.
It is a 2004 bike and as such has chips and rub marks all over it. This is pretty normal on Stumpjumpers of this age.
The spec is available on line, but it includes:
XT rear mech
Fox Brain Triad rear shock with open, pedal and locked. 100mm travel
Mavic rims with Specialized hubs.
Deore hydraulic brakes
27 speed Deore shifters.
It has had some upgrades over the years including:
A RockShox Tora air fork 100mm of travel and remote lockout on the bars.
Race Face XC cranks.
Wider 710 mm bars and shorter stem.
I have recently replaced less than 100miles ago:
Both tyres with Vittoria Gomas 2.4 front and rear.
New Shimano chain.
New cassette.
Now the bad bits.
As already mentioned it is chipped and well worn.
Just noticed the lower jockey wheel looks like a throwing star!
There is a tiny bit of play in the cassette which I suspect needs a correct sized spacer which would explain why the shifting is not quite as smooth as normal since I changed it a couple of rides ago.
No pedals included unless you want me to put the test pedals on from the Bossnut.
I have a cheap dropper that fits with a shim that the buyer can have if they want. It might need a bit of fettling as it has had a new cable and was being a bit hard to trigger to go down.
Any questions please ask. Looking for £175
