I just noticed a little sticker on the frame of my Fuji Tread adventure bike that reads something like 'This bike is suitable for offroad riding and drops of up to 30cm'
What is this and who determines this suitability? Is there some kind of central agency that rates bikes for on or offroad use and maximum drop? And if so, what are the parameters - is it 30cm with no rider? A rider less than X kg?
It sort of looks like a liability disclaimer so the bike manufacturers don't get sued if you use it outside of those conditions and it breaks you or something.
