In our quest to sort next years Croatia holiday out we are now thinking of a "cruise & stay"..... get the best of both (hopefully).
We have never done a cruise so have this/these decisions re which type of cabin and would appreciate thoughts of those that have.
Situation is......
Ship is quite big...... 9 decks.
Cabins start basic inside.......basic larger.... outside with window......outside with balcony etc etc.
There is £1000 difference from lowest to highest.
As its summer......in theory will be in the cabin/balcony to justify the extra costs???
Our situation is..... we are knocking on a bit so dont mind spending some of the kids inheritance. But I dont want to throw money away.
Any (hopefully sensible) thoughts ?

My parents go cruising at least once a year, they never get inside cabins, they don't like not having a window to see the outside.bthat is their minimum requirement. They have had private balconies before, but not every time.

How much time will you spend sitting outside in the cabin compared to sitting outside on the main entertainment decks. Probably only first thing in the morning, last thing at night.

I have never cruised, but I know from my holidays that stretching for the little extra can turn a good holiday into a great one.
If you can fund it then do get the balcony room, it will add to the memories, plus if you decide you don't really like cruising and never bother again then at least you know you gave it your best shot.

I work with two crazy Croatians if you need any tips on the place I can ask them though I will say they rave about the place every day

I am convinced about Croatia itself. @vickster really enjoyed it as did others I have spoken to. Its just the cruise part we are unsure about.
