Summer has been here since Saturday but its gone now. Pouring with rain. I put my laundry out on the line. Sorry

We don't have ice-cream vans in our neck of the woods, but they have been muck spreading here. Does that count?

There is an ice cream van here that plays 'The Liberty Belle' (the Monty Python tune).

Haven't heard it recently, but it does seem to turn up randomly throughout the year regardless of the weather.

Forecast is still good for tomorrow down here, up to 18/19 degrees. That'll be 3 days on the trot in shorts. Carpe knieem. Back to normal for Friday though.

the weather forecaste for the next 5 days here, does not have a single consecutive day where the wind comes from the same direction!

Thurs starts SSE, SSW, W, NW
Fri WNW to NW (with some interesting gusts)
Sat NNW, N, NNE, N, NNW, NW
Sun WSW to SW
Mon W to NW

I have tried cycling through a hurricane. I think I will give a cyclone a miss,
(PS, isn't it a touch off course for a cyclone - thought they were the pacific... but I dropped geography early on...)

You are sort of thinking of tropical cyclones. Basically all our weather we have here in the UK is a mixture of cyclones and anti-cyclones (low and high pressure put simply), where bad weather is normally associated with cyclones/low pressure and that weird orange object that occasionally appears in the sky are normally associated with high pressure (anti-cyclones).

thank you  - I simply know them as high/low pressure.
today's threat of headwinds in both directions (like that isn't always the case ) has been rescinded, so looks like I will only get a headwind for half of today's 'lunch at mum's journey! anyhow, the leg warmers have gone back on!

Summer....mmmmmmm. Ride to work today, tights, base layer, l/s top, shell jacket, fingerless gloves and my fingers were freezing
