Summer Ride around Herts and Bucks

I might give the circuit a try from abbotts langley this sunday and see how i go. The route diag makes it look like theres some significant climbs along the way

Yes this ride is going ahead on the 7th. Don't be put off by the elevation graph it looks a lot worse than it is. I have done most of this ride twice (the hilly parts) and didn't have to use the granny ring on my triple at all

It's about 25-30 miles from what I remember. Certainly it didn't cause any problems for me and Luke earlier in the year. I'd say a 7.30 start from HPC would be ok.

Yes the start time is 10 a.m, there are 2 trains that arrive from London, one at 09.44 and 09.48 for anyone not wanting to cycle up. There is a coffee shop outside the station if anyone fancies a drink before we head off

Well you have already signed up to the Bucks one!!! Two in one day at the same time could be tricky!!!

I signed up to this one 1st but the Bucks one is flatter and shorter and so more appropriate for my current level of (un)fitness! I don't want to hurt my back again before Bognor!

That's true!! Too many rides, too few days!! Despite the fact I'm cutting down on long rides, I seem to have a century a weekend lined up for August. Just waiting for a Bank Holiday ride and I'll have a full set!!

Just rang them & booked a table for 8 for Sunday Lunch. I explained we're cycling and should be arriving around 1 - 1.30 ish or later.
