Summer tour part 1

Summer tour 2017 booked up. Part 1 is:

Hook of Holland - Utrecht
Utrecht - Dieren
Dieren - Rheine
Rheine - Minden

Any advice from anyone who has cycled any of this route would be great.

I find that to be an interesting area, a mix of rural and urban, ancient and modern. Difficult to advise without knowing what interests you, but I prefer to do little route planning and research, that way, it's not just a cycle tour, it's an adventure.

I did Hook- Delft-Utrecht which was a really lovely route along the canals.

here's a recent ride on Strava where a guy rode the Hook of Holland to Bonn .... not sure if it's the route that you are after, but maybe you can see what speeds etc are attainable on their roads:

Look at 2009 in my signature - takes in Utrecht to hoek - not summer and I was making miles for the boat but it might be of interest
