Well this will be my third summer touring, the last two being spent mostly in France, l went into Belgium last year briefly, Ypres being the place, on my tour of ww1 battlefields.
This summer I'am hoping to do the Rhine river and also part of the Danube, then a quick right down the Adriatic coast so far as Greece, my question is as l camp 99% of the time, I'd like to know the availability of camp sites in this part of the world also cost would be of help. From there on to Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica, then a ferry to main land France and home.......all subject to legs of course. So any info on the three islands mentioned would also be appreciated.
My forward planning is questionable l leave on the 16th of June Dover/Dunkirk then Belgium Holland and then the Rhine, I've heard a lot about the good cycle routes in this part of Europe,so intend to follow as many as possible and as far as possible, again any info or opinions on the best routes etc.
I've allowed 4/5 months to complete the journey. l was going to try this ride last year but the weather in France in June was wet and cold, so went south instead of the intended northerly route.
Thanks in advance.....Oldleggs

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Cant offer an opinion on camping and campsites, but good luck, and I hope you have a great time, and good weather.

The Rhine and Danube(Donau) are pleasant rivers to follow with the cycle routes well signposted on both. There are excellent Bikeline guides for the Rhein and Donau Radwegs, although the books are quite heavy. Cheaper and lighter card route guides are readily available from shops along the route, these would be adequate to get you through but perhaps don't give as much info. regarding campsites and accommodation
There are adequate campsites on both river routes and costs seemed reasonable.
