Maybe it's just me, though I find most long distance cycling in the summer nearly as bad as the winter ?

I was going to reply with a flippant "Nope...its you" but I do get what you man...often the cooler rides are more comfortable and somehow a little more rewarding. But the dark does get on my wick (along with the associated short days)

Two weeks till spring starts, and we're back on light summer evenings!!

Yes, BST begins 25th March - It will be light for my entire return commute.

I dont have a garage so the other benefit of BST is that I can do my bike maintenace in the garden instead of in the kitchen, SWMBO will be happy about that.

I'm not sure it was summer like this morning - yes it was nice and bright but I still needed full length gloves to keep my hands warm.
