Anyone going on a Sun £9.50 holiday? The tokens start next weekend. We went on 2 last year to Woolacombe Bay and Bideford Bay in Devon. They are mostly on holiday parks and is around £65 for 4 nights which is very good value but would make a nice break for cyclists and the static caravans and chalets can can sleep anything up to 8 people. .

I went on one of these caravan park hols years ago. It was £36 back then, but it was a great hol and we could take the dogs too. Not sure if its still the case but I might bite the bullet and buy the Sun for a week.

Went on one a few years ago it was s***. The caravan stank and the park was full of drunken...

But on the plus side the iow was nice!

There are other benefits to buying the sun too

Confused. I don't know much about them (ok nothing at all) but a thread about a £9.50 holiday and the two prices quoted are £65 and £36. Where does the £9.50 come into it?

Indeed, we have had a few and if you get a good park its a good way to get a cheap break, i doubt it this year ans swmbo cant get school hols off this year and wants a new kitchen .....(aargh less to spend on bike stuff !! )

Off topic post removed.
Please keep replies to the OP's thread question and enquiry only.
Not sure how it was off topic, saying that I wouldn't go on anything that the Sun (a red top newspaper) was promoting, due to the reasons I stated?
Note to self, only post on cycling matters from now onwards!

Haven Holidays were our (Wifes) choice for hols

Cheap as, the children loved it, the evening entertainment was like watching the rubbish you have on TV on a Saturday night, Britans Got Talent ;/

Prefer weekend city breaks myself or camping

My son, wife and our three granddaughters have been on two or three, and if you accept you're not royalty, its not going to be the Ritz, and the weather may or may not be in your favour...you won't beat them for value. My sons never complained. Ive spent good money on holidays abroard and regretted it, its difficult to imagine how you could complain at these prices..unless the accomodation was really awful. Certainly in my sons cases, its been more than adequate.

We actually had a Haven holiday for 8 for less than a Sun holiday for 6 -at the same site, both during Easter hols.
It seems the price goes up quite a bit once you add on the park passes and upgrade accommodation to something worth staying in.

It is a basic cost of £9.50 per person, minimum of 4. That gets you the most basic campsite.
You pay extra for better sites and a premium for entertainment and other bits and bobs.
