Changed what was left of the bar tape for foam grips today.

I have it on my Peugeot and it's very comfy

Im sure it is comfy, but it just ruins the lines of that machine. Still its not my bike.

Must admit I would swap the foam out for some nice smart black tape... but it is very period correct! The bike looks fantastic though, I'd be very pleased to have one of those in my garage. I'm sure you'll have some fun on it over summer

Going to see how it rides, when I finally get it finished and will then possibly go for a dawes tourer saddle and matching bar tape if it's a keeper.

The decision then is whether to go for black or tan, both would probably work?

Have ordered new tyres and tubes today, so that is the next job, Raleigh branded tan walled tyres.

Hoping they arrive by Saturday.

Very nice! I think I prefer the black saddle - but the brown one would look great with matching bar tape.

We had a Sun Solo and gave it to a friend who needed a bike. He's ridden it only a few times. I might borrow it back Hubster misses the old Solo.
