Went to the beach today (did try and persuade the missus to go with her parents so I could ride there and back to meet them.) first bit of glorious weather in a while and I get sunburn! By tomorrow it will be lovely and brown thanks to my Mediterranean heritage!

    Just thought i'd share!

being of the fair skin complexion myself... todays bits and pieces of sun poking through on my cycle ride has given me a nice pink glow on the chops.

  5. Master ArDee and I got sunburn at the Grand Prix last week-end; just before the main race started the sun came out and the sun shone for the duration of the race. The rest of the week-end we did go brown; but, I think that was rust.

I've got quite brown arms, but I think it's rust....

I still have the tan on my arms from a ride at the end of May.
It is slightly combined with a bit of UV burning from doing a bit of impromptu tack welding while wearing a tee shirt.

its weird though, i have my cyclist tan (including glove marks) and the burn is only on my arms and back! nothing from mid upper arm to the rear of my shoulderblades!
