Departure day, so some tidying etc to do, but as I'll be the one opening the front door next time, I don't have to worry about poor reviews. Pure blue skies, so I'm going to take my feet and the drone out to catch some sunny/snowy views (there was a bit of a top-up last night) this morning. Afternoon, I'm walking down to catch the train to the overnight stop, dropping in on a German academic environmentalist in town (fascinating chap) who was a professor at Aix-en-Provence for a long time. Should be a fun day.

One coffee had, more to come.

Morning

Gopping out there.
Got back at 10 last night. Shorty's team were beaten in the final of the granite sliding competition thingy. She was in our B team. Her first proper competition and is runner up.
So it was a long but very successful day.
They were top seeded after the group stage. Thrashed all 3 other teams. Were at 2-2 in the semi final with 1 stone to play and the other team were 3 up. Our skip (captain) put it on the button (that's the bit in the middle of the circles). to win 3-2 to get to the final.

Anyhoo: extra coffee.

Say 'Well done Shorty'.

Everything that's wrong with winters over here these days: mild wet and windy. Might scare the teenagers away from the hot tub...but that'll just keep them inside.

Going to need some coffee over here.

Morning all. Weather god has been kind so no more snow or wet stuff, just got to get rid of the frozen slush and stuff everywhere. Shouldn't take to long as its warming up a tad. Currently feeling ruff as someone has given me the snots. Will be attempting to have a trip out somewhere today to blow the cobwebs away. 🤔 I notice somebody couldn't sleep again so started the thread ridiculously early again.

Morning
We have more snow but it might last for long as it’s currently raining. So it’s going to be a bit dismal when I take Bertie out, might venture across to garage to do some weights at some point.

Good Sunday lie in done. Still grey and cold outside, usual January rubbish and no prospect of skiing this month to offset the gloom. Headed out to cousins birthday bash over in South London later on.

Happy Sunday peoples, just booked some flights to sunny Spain for a nephews wedding. Obviously the very next web search was “bike rental La Cala “
A very reasonable 45€ /day for a Di2 equipped megamo, which TBH I’ve never heard of… but it looks alright.
