A rather splendid morning in store after obligatory caffeine: I'm playing in an 'orchestral mass' in Exeter Cathedral, when we do all the bits of Haydn's 'Nelson Mass' in the context of the actual Mass. I'm not religious at all, but even I find playing a great piece of music in its proper context in such a stunning building rather special. Even better that I get paid to do so.

Hotel pig based breakfast enjoyed, waiting for friends then off to the station.

If it isn’t a boozy trip home might go for a run before the pub - imagine I’m not going for a run
