it's a hill, where the first court was held to try orestes, and the furies were persuaded by athena to respect the verdict and thence become the eumenides - perhaps the distant origin of our judicial system with 12 jurors

orestes being pursued by the furies after he offs his mum for killing his father, who sacrificed their daughter iphigenia plus much other nastiness, imo agamemnon deserved all he got

Orestes isn’t that an E4 6B at Bamford edge in the Peak District. I think it was called Virgins wall before the first free ascent.
