I hope you don’t live by the river as London is drowning.

still have vivid memories of seeing flood water coming under the door in india, unexpected as i was on the first floor at the time

fortunately that was the peak and it went down fast

live on the top in london, no flood risk unless all the ice melts, and perfect for basking in the summer

At least if my mud hut in Topsham floats away (about 5m above high tide, though with extensive flood plains, an estuary, and the sea - at sea level - just five miles away), I've got one at 500m ASL to escape to, in extremis.

I'd be less sanguine in one of the Topsham houses whose ground-floor rooms are often below the level of the higher high tides. Their insurance premiums must be 'interesting'.

We live above a valley for the same reason. Except I suspect ours is nicer and not full of southerners.

not many southerners these days, mostly russian/chinese tax dodgers/money launderers/exiles, and people from places that are too hot in the summer visiting one of their 137 homes

early thinning of cloud has gone into reverse, darkness at noon
